Jumping into GTA V online from the story mode is hard. In my case, I made about $80 million across all three characters, so being deadbroke in GTA Online was depressing! To add insult to injury, I couldn’t drive down the road without some random person shooting me down with alien-like weapons or hearing that missing lock sound as an Oppressor MK-II shoots me down… Again! That sounds familiar to you, doesn’t it?

But hey, don’t sweat it! I have been there and done that, and I have the secret sauce to help you turn your luck around in GTA Online. Seriously! In just two weeks, playing only 2 to 3 hours a day, you could swim in money and own many businesses. Sound too good to be true? Well, get ready to level up because I will show you how to make those millions like a pro. Let’s dive in!

Tips For Low-level GTA V Online Players

If you are a high-level player, skip to the next section.

To start your journey in GTA Online, focus on these beginner-friendly strategies to build your wealth:

Buy The Free Stuff: Let’s start by getting you a good car to move around in. Visit the War Stock and Cache and get the Duke of Death for free. This car is almost bulletproof and will get you through the early missions until you can afford the Kurama.

Now, let us get you somewhere to store that beast of a machine. Go to the Dynasty 8 website and look for Unit 124 Popular Street. It is a two-car garage, but it will help you get through the early phase. Some players get it free, but I paid $24k for mine. How did I get the money? Thought you wouldn’t ask.

Your aiming settings should look like this

Get The Gerald Stuff: I am not proud of it, but I robbed many convenience stores to buy weapons and the garage. But you don’t have to go down that path. Instead, start your game day by robbing stash houses for about $31,000. You can also raid the G’s stash for about $15,000, extra ammo, and snacks. I am at level 113, and I still do both of these regularly.

Random: Don’t forget to spin the wheel at the casino every day! You have a chance to win some awesome prizes like cars, cash, and cool clothes.

Don’t Be Stingy With Snacks: Another reason I don’t want you robbing those stores is because you will need snacks, especially at this level. Those little chocolates can be lifesavers in combat, so always stock up on them before heading out on ANY mission.

Make GTA web Your Friend: GTAweb is a live-action updating map that shows you all the daily collectibles and locations for anything you need, including stash houses, treasure hunts, LCD organics, and the Gun Van. With that kind of information at your fingertips, getting around the game becomes much easier.

Visit The Gun Van At Least Once Weekly: The Gun Van is a cool spot to check out because it carries weapons you can’t find at Ammunation. What is special about it is that some of these guns can really give you an edge in GTA V online. Take the Up n Atomizer, for example — it is a real lifesaver during sell missions if your vehicle gets stuck. Ensure to swing by regularly because the weapons available change every week. And in case you don’t know where to find it, visit GTAweb. 😉

Random: If you put on a mask while out of sight of the cops, your wanted level will drop by one star.

Don’t Skip Flight School: Graduating from flight school should be at the top of your to-do list in GTA V online. It is a great way to learn how to fly planes and helicopters while earning cash. Plus, it increases your flying skills, which is handy for future missions. It is a win-win situation! Get flying!

Random: Do the Pier Pressure contact mission to get your strength to 100.

Don’t Pick Fights in Public Lobbies: Avoid getting into fights in public lobbies. Trust me, it is a bad idea. The people you attack will likely have better weapons and vehicles than you, so don't do it unless you want to be wasted repeatedly.

Follow GTA V Online Content Creators: Following content creators like TGG, HarmNone, Chiliad Studios, and ChrisRise can be incredibly helpful for you. These creators often share valuable tips, tricks, and strategies for progressing in the game efficiently, making money, and levelling up. They also provide insights into updates, challenges, and double money and RP events within the game. Plus, watching their gameplay can provide a walkthrough when you eventually run your missions.

Get The Acid Lab

The acid lab is a great business for everyone, no matter their level in the game. It is the second-best passive business in the game, second only to the Nightclub. If you are new to the game, running the acid lab can help you learn how to do sell missions.

To unlock the Acid Lab in GTA 5 Online, complete the six First Dose missions, starting with the Dax Contact Missions: Welcome to the Troupe, Designated Driver, Fatal Incursion, Uncontrolled Substance, Make War not Love, and Off the Rails. These missions pay between $62,000 and $70,000 each. Once you finish Off the Rails, you will unlock the Brickade 6x6 vehicle (which is the second most armored vehicle in the entire game!).

Random: Finish the last dose missions to get the Ocelot Virtue worth $2,980,000

Afterwards, head to one of the marked warehouses to steal lab equipment for the Acid Lab. Load it onto a Flatbed truck and return to The Freakshop. Speak to Mutt near the truck. If you are not a GTA+ subscriber, you will need $750,000 to install the lab equipment. That’s all. Now you can make up to $351,000 every 3 hours!

Clucking Bell Is Your Best Friend

Clucking Bell is the gift that never stops giving. It is available when you start the game and with a couple of walkthroughs, you should be able to run the mission solo. You will earn $250,000 bonus when you complete the finale for the first time, on top of the regular $500,000 reward. After that, each time you play, you will get $500,000. It is great because you can play it multiple times a day.

Buy The Maze Bank Office

By now, you should have made a million dollars. How does it feel to be a millionaire? I remember the pride I felt when I reached that milestone, but then I spent it on a Toros and Kurama. However, it seems you are on a different path, one where you won’t repeat my mistakes. So, here is my advice: use that money to buy the Maze Bank office.

Buy an Executive Office
To start your journey as a CEO, visit the Dynasty 8 Executive website on your in-game phone and choose from the available offices. The options and their prices are:

Maze Bank West: $1,000,000
Arcadius Business Center: $2,250,000
Lombank West: $3,100,000
Maze Bank Tower: $4,000,000

After buying your office, you have the option of customizing it to include a gun locker, a safe, living quarters, and various furnishings. Most of them are purely cosmetic, so don’t buy them. Seriously.

Become a CEO
Congratulations on becoming a CEO! That is a big deal, my friend! Now, you get all the CEO perks. That means you can now do VIP missions whenever you want, and your assistant will give you snacks for free!

What is next? Well, there is no rest for the wicked or GTA V online players. It is time to work hard again! Do those VIP missions, do more Clucking Bell farm raids, grab cars off the street and sell them to Simeon, do some missions with friends, and participate in heists. Do whatever it takes to make 250k — 500k. Once you hit that goal, your life will change for the better.

Buy Warehouses
As a CEO, you can buy warehouses for cargo missions. Investing in both a small and a medium warehouse is a good idea. This allows you to continuously gather supplies for both warehouses without waiting for a cooldown period. Once your warehouse is full, sell the cargo. If you delay, rival competitors might raid your warehouse, causing you to lose up to half of your hard-earned goods.

If you prefer sell missions with just one vehicle, don’t store more than 9 crates in your warehouse. This ensures that you only get one sell vehicle.

Random: Sell in public lobbies for the bonus but use ghost organization and Lester’s Off the radar to protect your cargo.

Buy The Vehicle Warehouse
Continue doing the mix of missions and heists until you make $1,500,000. How does it feel to stack up that much money? Savor the feeling for like five minutes because it is time to spend it on the vehicle warehouse. Head back to your office and buy the La Mesa Vehicle Warehouse. It is one of the best businesses in the game because it is easy to set up and doesn’t require any upgrades.

With this business, you can make an average of $100,000 every 20 minutes. Yep, you read that correctly! It is a significant upgrade from what you are currently making, so get ready for some excitement!

You might feel like you are rolling in a lot of money. But if you buy a Deveste Eight and an Ocelot Pariah, the money is all gone. After all the effort you have put in to reach this point, it wouldn’t make sense to do something that silly. Let’s make smart decisions and add more zeroes to your account balance.

Buy The Bunker and Start Gunrunning

Starting your Gunrunning business in GTA V Online means choosing the right bunker, and that is important. You want to think about two main things: how much it costs and how close it is to Los Santos. That is why my answer to the question: What is the best bunker in GTA V? is always the Chumash Bunker, which costs for $1,650,000 and is close to Los Santos. But before you make the move, ensure you have saved up at least $3.5 million. A small thing for you now, am I right?

The only customization you need is the Personal Quarters so you can spawn in. The reason you need the $3.5million is because as soon as you finish the set up mission, grab the staff and equipment upgrades, which will set you back $1.7 million altogether. These upgrades are key because they will help you make more money.

Once you are all set up, just buy supplies and let your operation run. You will be able to sell them for three times what you paid. YOU SHOULD ONLY SELL TO LOS SANTOS!

Random: Selling in a public lobby provides a 1% delivery bonus per player in the lobby, which can significantly increase your profits on large shipments.

If you are playing solo, you can sell your supplies whenever they run out. But if you have friends playing with you, it might be worth waiting until your bunker is full before selling. When it’s all stocked up, you could make as much as $1.5 million in one go!

Buy The Agency and Grind The Dr Dre Contract

Acquiring The Agency is your first step to begin your journey with the Dr Dre Contract in GTA 5 Online. I love this high-end property for three major reasons: the lucrative Dr Dre missions, armory, and Imani Tech.

So how much do you need to buy the agency? I’d say $3,805,000. Little Seoul costs a little above $2,000,000. When you are on the purchase page, add the armory, personal quarters, and vehicle workshop to your list of customizations. The armory is a must because it is the only owned property in the game where you can buy armor. Plus, you will have access to weapons you can’t find in Ammunation, like the Unholy Hellbringer and the stun gun. And here’s a cool thing: your friends can also buy items there, so it’s a handy spot for all your gear needs.

Next up is the vehicle workshop, which gives you access to Imani tech. This workshop is like a special garage within your agency where you can upgrade specific cars, like the Ocelot Virtue you receive after completing the Last Dose missions. Imani tech upgrades allow you to install lock-on jammers on your vehicles. These jammers make it more difficult for pesky vehicles like Oppressors to target and attack you, giving you an added layer of defence in public lobbies.

Once you set up your agency, you can start making money by diving into the Dr Dre Contract, a series of missions centred around the legendary Dr Dre. Initially, completing these missions might take a few hours, but once familiar with them, you can breeze through them in around 1 hour and 30 minutes and earn a cool $1,000,000. It’s a great way to keep things exciting and profitable in the game.

While running these missions, don’t forget to keep your other businesses stocked up so they can keep generating passive income for you in the background. This way, you’re maximizing your earnings across the board while still enjoying the thrill of the Dr. Dre Contract storyline.

Buy The Kosatka and Grind The Cayo Perico Heist

The first step to begin your adventure with the Cayo Perico Heist is buying the Kosatka submarine. Here’s how you can buy and set up your submarine base:

Visit The Music Locker: Start by visiting the nightclub under the Diamond Casino to meet Miguel Madrazo, who will introduce you to the heist opportunities.
Buy the Submarine: On your in-game phone, navigate to the Warstock Cache and Carry website and buy the Kosatka for $2,200,000. The only upgrade you need here is the Sparrow helicopter since it will help you complete the setups faster.

Even though Cayo Perico has been repeatedly nerfed over the years, it is still one of the best ways to make money in the game.

Time To Buy The NightClub

You have come a long way, and your hard work is finally paying off. Now, you are likely raking in between $3 million to $4 million daily, which must feel pretty amazing. It is time to take your earnings to the next level by investing in a nightclub with 5 storage slots and nothing else. Setting it up is straightforward: pick up employees, a party bus, and DJ Solomun. Once it is ready, buy the equipment and staff upgrades, but skip the security upgrade — it is unnecessary.

Here is how the nightclub operates: it has a popularity meter that you can boost by doing promotion missions or hiring a new DJ. You will get paid every in-game day based on the nightclub’s popularity, with a maximum of $50,000 per day. The money will be safely stored in your office’s safe, which can’t exceed $250,000 in total.

Now, let’s talk about the real money-maker: the nightclub warehouse. Beneath the nightclub, there is a storage facility where your technicians gather illegal products from your other businesses. They work independently, so your other businesses won’t be affected. You need 5 active businesses with all 5 storage upgrades to maximise profits.

The next step is to hire 5 technicians from your laptop. Each technician is assigned to gather a specific product type from your businesses. Over time, they will accumulate more of it until they reach their limit. Here is how you want them assigned for maximum profit:

Cargo and Shipments (Cargo Warehouse)
Sporting Goods (Bunker Business)
South American Imports (MC Coke)
Pharmaceutical Research (MC Meth)
Cash Creation (MC Counterfeit Cash)

If any of your businesses shut down, the assigned technician will not gather more product until the business is back up and running.

The sell missions are usually straightforward. You will always have 1 vehicle, with the type depending on the accumulated crates. Invest in the Pounder Custom to ensure you can handle large cargo. Customize your delivery vans with armor, mines, and remote control machine guns to fend off griefers. Selling in a public session offers a bonus, with cargo reaching a maximum value of $1.7 million!

This is my favorite business because it gathers tons of products while I am AFK or running the Clucking Bell, Dr Dre, or Cayo Perico heist. Nightclub popularity doesn’t affect this process, nor do the products or upgrades of other businesses—just make sure they are active.
